Hyundai Ioniq: Timing System / Front Oil Seal. Repair procedures
1. | Remove the crankshaft damper pulley. (Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley") |
2. | Remove the front oil seal (A). |
3. | Apply engine oil to a new oil seal lip & outer surface. •
| Remove any debris from the lip portion of the oil seal. |

4. | Install the front oil seal (A) using SST (09231-G2100, 09231-H1100). •
| Always use new oil seal. |
|
|
5. | Install the crankshaft damper pulley. (Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley") |

1. Follow all of the oil manufacturer’s precautions.
2. Be sure the vehicle is on the level ground in P (Park) with the parking brake
set. If possible, block the wheels.
3. Turn the engine on and allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature...
Removal1.Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.2.Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from the front hub. Tightening torque : 107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)
