Have coolant changed by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer according to the Maintenance Schedule at the beginning of this chapter.
WARNING
Do not use engine coolant or antifreeze in the washer fluid reservoir.
Engine coolant can severely obscure visibility when sprayed on the windshield and may cause loss of vehicle control resulting in an accident.
Engine coolant may also cause damage to paint and body trim.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to engine parts, put a thick towel around the radiator cap before refilling the coolant to prevent the coolant from overflowing into engine parts, such as the alternator.
■ Engine coolant ■ Inverter coolant Check the condition and connections of all cooling system hoses and heater hoses. Replace any swollen or deteriorated hoses.
Inspection1.Turn the ignition switch OFF.2.Disconnect the mode control actuator connector.3.Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the defrost mode when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4.Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the vent mode when connected in reverse.
Removal1.Remove the front bumper.(Refer to Body - "Front Bumper")2.Disconnect the smart cruise control unit connector (A).3.Remove the smart cruise control nuit assembly (B) from thevehicle after loosening mounting bolts.Installation1.Install in the reverse order of removal.
