Hyundai Ioniq: Crash Pad / Steering Column Shroud Panel. Repair procedures
[Steering column shroud upper panel]
•
| When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. |
•
| Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface. |
•
| Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels. |
|
1. | Using a remover and remove the cluster fascia upper garnish (A). 
|
2. | Remove the crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Crash Pad - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") |
3. | Loosen the mounting screw and remove the crash pad side garnish [LH] (A). 
|
4. | Press the lock pin and separate the crash pad side garnish connector (A). 
|
5. | Looseh the mounting screws and remove the cluster fascia panel (A). 
|
6. | To install, reverse the removal procedure. •
| Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers). |

[Steering column shroud lower panel]

| When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. |

| Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface. |
•
| Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels. |

1. | Remove the crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Crash Pad - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") |
2. | Loosen the mounting screws by turning the steering wheel to the left and right, and remove the steering column shroud lower panel (A). 
|
3. | To install, reverse the removal procedure. |
Other information:
Removal1.Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait for at least 30 seconds.2.Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are placed in the straight ahead position.3.Remove the driver airbag module(DAB).
