Checking the Washer Fluid Level

Check the fluid level in the washer fluid reservoir and add fluid if necessary. Plain water may be used if washer fluid is not available. However, use washer solvent with antifreeze characteristics in cold climates to prevent freezing.
WARNING
To prevent serious injury or death, take the following safety precautions when using washer fluid:
Checking the Brake Fluid Level Check the fluid level in the reservoir periodically. The fluid level should be between MAX and MIN marks on the side of the reservoir.
Checking the Parking Brake Check whether the stroke is within specification when the parking brake pedal is depressed with 44 lb (20 kg, 196 N) of force.
Inspection1.Turn the ignition switch OFF.2.Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor connector.3.Measure the resistance between terminal "+" and "-" of the evaporator temperature sensor.Specification Evaporator core temperature [°C (°F)] Resistance [KΩ]
Inspection1.Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2.Disconnect the auto defogging connector. 3.Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the open position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the close position when connected in reverse.
