Hyundai Ioniq (AE): Engine Control System / CVVT Oil Control Valve (OCV). Repair procedures
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 2. | Disconnect the OCV connector. |
| 3. | Measure resistance between the OCV terminals 1 and 2. |
| 4. | Check that the resistance is within the specification. Specification : Refer to "Specification" |

[CVVT Oil Control Solenoid (Intake)]
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable. |
| 2. | Disconnect the CVVT oil control solenoid (A). |
| 3. | Remove the installation bolt (B), and then remove the CVVT oil control solenoid from the enigne.

[CVVT Oil Control Valve (Exhaust)]
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable. |
| 2. | Remove the air cleaner assembly (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner") |
| 3. | Disconnect the CVVT oil control solenoid (A). |
| 4. | Remove the installation bolt (B), and then remove the CVVT oil control solenoid from the enigne.

| Install the component with the specified torques. |
| •
| Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped. If the component has been dropped, inspect before installing. |
|
| •
| Apply engine oil to the valve O-ring. |
|
| 1. | Install in the reverse order of removal. CVVT Oil control valve installation bolt : 9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft) |

InspectionOperating Logic Test (Manual only)Inspect the PTC operation by confirmation logic as follows.1.Entering(1)Set the Floor mode and maximum heating position.(2)Turn off the blower switch.(3)Press the intake (recirculation) button 5 times or more.
Removal1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.2.Remove the rear bumper.(Refer to Body - "Rear Bumper")3.Remove the rear corner radar unit (A) after loosening the mounting nuts.

Take care not to separate the bracket from rear bumper when removing the rear corner radar sensor.
