Hyundai Ioniq: Timing System / Drive Belt Tensioner. Repair procedures
1. | Remove the drive belt. (Refer to Timing System - "Drive Belt") |
2. | Remove the mechanical tensioner (A). Tightening torque : 18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft) |

3. | Remove the hydraulic tensioner. (1) | Remove the hydraulic tensioner mounting bolts (A). |
(2) | Remove the hydraulic tensioner center bolt (B). |
(3) | Remove the hydraulic tensioner (C). Tightening torque Bolt (A) : 27.5 - 31.4 N.m (2.8 - 3.2 kgf.m, 20.3 - 23.1 lb-ft) Bolt (B) : 27.5 - 31.4 N.m (2.8 - 3.2 kgf.m, 20.3 - 23.1 lb-ft) |

4. | Install in the reverse order of removal. |
Check the belt tensioner for excessive dust, crack, and damage. Replace if necessary.

Seat belt warning light
As a reminder to the driver, the seat belt warning light will illuminate and
warning chime will sound for approximately 6 seconds each time you place the Engine
Start/Stop button to the ON position if the seat belt is unfastened.
