Hyundai Ioniq: Intake and Exhaust System / Intake Manifold. Repair procedures
1. | Disconnect the battery negative terminal. |
2. | Remove the air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner") |
3. | Disconnect the wiring connectors and harness clamps and remove the wiring protector around the intake manifold.

4. | Disconnect the hybrid starter generator (HSG) coolant hose and pipe (A). 
|
5. | Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (A). 
|
6. | Remove the electronic throttle control (ETC) module. (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "Electronic Throttle Control (ETC)") |
7. | Remove the intake manifold stay (A). Tightening torque : 18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft) |

8. | Remove the EGR cooler pipe C bolts (A). Tightening torque : 9.8 - 11.8N.m (1.0 - 1.2kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7lb-ft) |

9. | Remove the intake manifold (A) with the gasket. Tightening torque : 18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft) |

| When installing, replace with new gaskets. |
•
| When installing the intake manifold, tighten the bolts and nuts with pre-torque first, and then tighten the bolts and nuts with specified torque in the sequence shown. |

10. | Install in the reverse order of removal. |
Other information:
Inspection1. After disconnecting the vapor hose from the PCV valve, remove the PCV valve. 2. Reconnect the PCV valve to the vapor hose.3. Run the engine at idle, then put a finger over the open end of the PCV valve and make sure that intake manifold vacuum can be felt...
These two warning lights illuminate at the same time while driving:
• When the ABS and regular brake system may not work normally. In this case,
have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) System Warning Light
When both ABS and Parking Brake & Brake Fluid Warning Lights are on, the brake
system will not work normally and you may experience an unexpected and dangerous
situation during sudden braking...

Adjust the steering wheel so it points toward your chest, not toward your face.
Make sure you can see the instrument cluster warning lights and gauges. After adjusting,
push the steering wheel both up and down to be certain it is locked in position.
Always adjust the position of the steering wheel before driving.

NEVER adjust the steering wheel while driving. This may cause loss of vehicle
control resulting in an accident.
