| Removal and Installation |
| 1. | Disconnect the battery negative terminal. |
| 2. | Remove the air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner") |
| 3. | Disconnect the wiring connectors and harness clamps and remove the wiring protector around the intake manifold.
|
| 4. | Disconnect the hybrid starter generator (HSG) coolant hose and pipe (A).
|
| 5. | Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (A).
|
| 6. | Remove the electronic throttle control (ETC) module. (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "Electronic Throttle Control (ETC)") |
| 7. | Remove the intake manifold stay (A).
|
| 8. | Remove the EGR cooler pipe C bolts (A).
|
| 9. | Remove the intake manifold (A) with the gasket.
|
| 10. | Install in the reverse order of removal. |

DescriptionThe smart cruise control unit is installed on the front right side of the chassis. A radar sensor is embedded in the front section of the unit. This sensor detects vehicles and objects in front of the vehicle. The radar sensor can detect up to 64 objects ahead of a vehicle.
