Hyundai Ioniq: Seat belts / Seat Belt Restraint System
WARNING

Improperly positioned seat belts may increase the risk of serious injury in
an accident.Take the following precautions when adjusting the seat belt:
- Position the lap portion of the seat belt as low as possible across your
hips, not on your waist, so that it fits snugly.
- Position one arm under the shoulder belt and the other over the belt,
as shown in the illustration. • Always position the shoulder belt anchor into
the locked position at the appropriate height.
- Never position the shoulder belt across your neck or face.
Seat belt warning light
As a reminder to the driver, the seat belt warning light will illuminate and
warning chime will sound for approximately 6 seconds each time you place the Engine
Start/Stop button to the ON position if the seat belt is unfastened...
To fasten your seat belt:
Pull the seat belt out of the retractor and insert the metal tab (1) into the
buckle (2). There will be an audible "click" when the tab locks into the buckle...
Other information:
The Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards
when starting a vehicle from a stop on a hill. The system operates the brakes automatically
for approximately 2 seconds and releases the brake after 2 seconds or when the accelerator
pedal is depressed...
This warning light illuminates:
When you place Engine Start/Stop button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then goes off.
When one or more of your tires are significantly underinflated.
This warning light remains ON after blinking for approximately 60 seconds, or
repeatedly blinks ON and OFF in 3 second intervals:
