Hyundai Ioniq (AE): Timing System / Front Oil Seal. Repair procedures

Removal and Installation
1.
Remove the crankshaft damper pulley.
(Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley")
2.
Remove the front oil seal (A).

3.
Apply engine oil to a new oil seal lip & outer surface.
   
•
Remove any debris from the lip portion of the oil seal.
4.
Install the front oil seal (A) using SST (09231-G2100, 09231-H1100).

   
•
Always use new oil seal.
5.
Install the crankshaft damper pulley.
(Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley")

    Removal and Installation1.Remove the passenger seat RH front tire.(Refer to Suspension System - "Wheel")2. Remove the engine room under cover.(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")3.

    Components1. Timing chain cover2. Oil control solenoid (OCS)
