Removal1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.2.Remove the steering wheel.(Refer to Steering System - "Steering Wheel")3.Remove the steering column upper and lower shrouds after loosening the screws.
Inspection1.Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2.Disconnect the auto defogging connector. 3.Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the open position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the close position when connected in reverse.
DescriptionThe smart cruise control unit is installed on the front right side of the chassis. A radar sensor is embedded in the front section of the unit. This sensor detects vehicles and objects in front of the vehicle. The radar sensor can detect up to 64 objects ahead of a vehicle.
