DescriptionThe Seat Belt Pretensioners (BPT) are installed inside Center Pillar (LH & RH). When a vehicle crashes with a certain degree of frontal impact, the pretensioner seat belt helps to reduce the severity of injury to the front seat occupants by retracting the seat belt webbing.
Removal [Front Seat Belt Pretensioner]1.Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work. 2.Separate the front seat belt (A) from the emergency fastening device.

Inspection1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.2.Remove the crash pad lower panel.(Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel")3.Remove the lower crash pad switch assembly (A) after disengaging the mounting clip.4.Remove the rheostat switch connector (A).
