DescriptionThe immobilizer system will disable the vehicle unless the proper ignition key is used, in addition to the currently available anti-theft systems such as car alarms, the immobilizer system aims to drastically reduce the rate of auto theft.

Inspection1.Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2.Disconnect the auto defogging connector. 3.Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the open position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4. Verify that the auto defogging actuator operates to the close position when connected in reverse.

RemovalWarning Indicator1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.2.Remove the mirror (A).InstallationWarning Indicator1.Install the outside mirror.2.Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.Inspection1.Apply battery voltage to each terminal as shown in the table and verify that the mirror operates properly.
