Hyundai Ioniq (AE): Timing System / Drive Belt Tensioner. Repair procedures

Removal and Installation
1.
Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Timing System - "Drive Belt")
2.
Remove the mechanical tensioner (A).
Tightening torque :
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)

3.
Remove the hydraulic tensioner.
(1)
Remove the hydraulic tensioner mounting bolts (A).
(2)
Remove the hydraulic tensioner center bolt (B).
(3)
Remove the hydraulic tensioner (C).
Tightening torque
Bolt (A) :
27.5 - 31.4 N.m (2.8 - 3.2 kgf.m, 20.3 - 23.1 lb-ft)
Bolt (B) :
27.5 - 31.4 N.m (2.8 - 3.2 kgf.m, 20.3 - 23.1 lb-ft)

4.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Inspection
Check the belt tensioner for excessive dust, crack, and damage. Replace if necessary.
