Hyundai Ioniq: Timing System / Front Oil Seal. Repair procedures
1. | Remove the crankshaft damper pulley. (Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley") |
2. | Remove the front oil seal (A).

3. | Apply engine oil to a new oil seal lip & outer surface. •
| Remove any debris from the lip portion of the oil seal. |
|
|
4. | Install the front oil seal (A) using SST (09231-G2100, 09231-H1100).

| Always use new oil seal. |
|
|
5. | Install the crankshaft damper pulley. (Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley") |

Removal1.Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.2.Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from the rear hub. Tightening torque : 107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)

Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire (A)...
