Hyundai Ioniq (AE): Mirror / Outside Rear View Mirror. Repair procedures

Replacement
   
•
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
   
•
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
•
Take care not to scratch the body surface.
1.
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front door quadrant inner cover (A).

2.
Disconnect the outside rear view mirror connector (A).

3.
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the rear view mirror cap (A).

4.
After loosening the mounting nuts, remove the outside rear view mirror (A).
Tightening torque :
6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)

5.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   
•
Make sure the connector is connected properly.
•
Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
